The London Lions Complete The Season Sweep

The London Lions have been the literal definition of perfection this year. With their win over the Sevenoaks Suns in the WBBL Playoff final, not only were the crowned back-to-back playoff champions, they finished the season undefeated, winning all available domestic titles.

The game between the Lions and the Suns did not start of as expected. Records were broken, but not the kind many expected, with the Lions only held to just 9 points in the first quarter whilst the Suns had taken an early lead.

The second quarter saw the Lions able to create a little bit more separation, much thanks to the spark plug off the bench that was Shanice Beckford-Norton. She was stuck on bucket and had 13 points coming off the bench at the half.

Once the 2nd half began, the gap began to widen. The London many expected to see showed up and offensively, things started to flow. In the end, it was too much for the Suns. Kennedy Leonard began to heat up towards the end of the game, knocking down a couple of huge 3-pointers to put a dagger in this finals matchup.

Leonard would finish as the game's MVP, with a statline of 13 points, 7 assists and 5 rebounds.

Another successful season for Mark Clark and his Lions side, something that they will hope to continue for years to come.
