Cade Cunningham Signs Multi-Year Endorsement Deal With Nike
The projected number 1 overall pick in this year's draft, Cunningham who spent a year at Nike sponsored Oklahoma State University has had a long-time affinity for the brand and now has signed what is reportedly the largest deal amongst the NBA 2021 draftees.
"More than anything, they show that athletes are more than just athletes, they really put the message out there for people to see. That was important to me. I felt like it was the perfect match for me." - Cunningham told ESPN.
Without even starting his NBA career yet, Cunningham is showing that his thought process is far ahead of his years with multiple investments and endorsements already signed including brand deals in plant-based food, energy drinks, crypto currency and more.
Along with the Nike deal, Cunningham also has brand deals in the plant-based food, energy drink, cryptocurrency, trading card, memorabilia & photo-sharing app silos.— Nick DePaula (@NickDePaula) July 27, 2021
"I definitely have been putting thought into it,” he said. “It's a business now, and that's the blessing of it.” https://t.co/fLdDiZxPHV
The dynamic 6'8" point guard was the Big12 player of the year in his only year at OSU and to date, he has only worked out with the Detroit Pistons ahead of this year's NBA draft who, coincidentally, have the no. 1 overall pick.
