Youngbull Goes Crazy.

Youngbull Goes Crazy.

The Nets will take on the Cleveland Cavaliers again tonight following their clash earlier this week which was probably one of the most exciting games to watch so far this NBA season. The game went to double-overtime, with the Cavaliers taking the win scoring a massive 147 points and beating the Nets with James Harden, Kyrie Irving and Kevin Durant, 147–135. The surprise came from the Cavaliers starting PG, Colin Sexton aka “Youngbull”.

The now Cavs PG has been known since his high school days and at his days at the University of Alabama for his hard work and determination which was not only shown in his work ethic but also in his demeanour on the court, with a ferocious tenacity on the defensive end and an attacking mindset on the offensive end with his ability to pour in a lot of points at any given time, altogether creating what he described to be a ‘bully’ on the court earning him the nickname, ‘Youngbull.’ He was drafted in the first round of the 2018 NBA Draft at pick number 8 and so far this season he is averaging 27 points, 2.7 rebounds and 3.7 assists.

In the game against the Nets on Wednesday night (Thursday morning for some) Colin dropped in a career-high 42 points, including 5 rebounds, 5 assists, a few key defensive stops and 20 STRAIGHT POINTS.

The basketball world went crazy. All eyes were on this game not for Colin, but for the fact that Kyrie had returned to the Nets and would be on the floor for the first time with James Harden and Kevin Durant. Everyone was eager to see Kyrie go to work and to be honest, he still did. He had 37 points, Durant had 38 points and James Harden had a double-double with 21 points and 12 assists, but it still wasn’t enough to stop the Youngbull and the Cavs.

It also seemed like Colin knew exactly what kind of night it would be for him. According to Kevin Durant, the Youngbull walked in the Nets changing room, walked past KD and James, tapped Kyrie who was the Cavaliers star point guard for 6 years helping them to win an NBA Championship before he left for Boston, and the Youngbull said to him:

“Lace em’ up. It’s gunna be a long f**cking night.”

That kind of confidence is very rare. To walk into an opponents locker room and walk past not one, but two NBA future Hall of Famers, straight to another NBA future Hall of Famer and basically tell him that he’s gonna lose tonight. Keep in mind this is only his third year in the league, he’s just 22 years old. It probably explains Kyrie’s gesture at the end of the game, as he ended it with a smile that kinda said ‘he f**cked us up,’ not in a pitiful way, but in a respectful way and rightfully so.

The Nets take on the Cavs tonight at 0030PM GMT (1930PM EST) for part two and with the game Colin had on Wednesday and the three-headed snake of KD, Uncle Drew and The Beard, it’s a game that the basketball world is going to be watching.
