Brett Burman Appointed General Manager Of The London Lions

Brett Burman will the new General Manager of the London Lions as the franchise look to continue their push into Europe's elite level of basketball with their host of new player signings and now a new GM. 

Burman brings a lot of NBA, G-League and NCAA experience. He spent time coaching at four different college programs in the States as well as working in multiple different roles in his ascension to General Manager including working in offseason player development, video scouting and also as the Director Of Operations both at the University Of Tulsa and at Indiana. His G-League experience was spent with the G-League affiliate of the Memphis Grizzles as was his NBA experience which also included some time working with the Detroit Pistons. 

Burman spoke on his new role as the GM of the Lions: "I fell extremely fortunate to have been given this opportunity to help build a team and establish a program that checks al the boxes you look for, especially as a first tie General Manager. Stepping into a situation where I am backed by a strong ownership group and head coach, in a global city, competing in the BBL and FIBA - I couldn't have asked for a better platform." 

Fans will get a chance to watch the Lions take on Italian side Treviso in a Basketball Champions League qualifying matchup, in which they will need to win 3 games in the space of five days to advance. The game will take place on the 13th of September.
