Lebron James Unveils Space Jam Inspired LBJ 19s
Nike and Lebron James' partnership is one of a kind and has withstood the tests of time through 18 models worth of shoes. Very few athletes have a shoe deal that has been that extensive. The only two that are in that conversation are Kevin Durant who currently is still with Nike and recently released his 14th pair with the KD 14s and of course, Kobe Bryant. With all 18 models, you'd think that Nike would have explored pretty much every possibility for his shoes yet at the same time if you were to think that, you'd be heavily underestimating the creativity and innovation we've become used to seeing from Nike over the years. That innovation and creativity along with perfect timing in reference to the release of Space Jam: A New Legacy, has brought about this exciting new colour way of the Lebron 19s.
The Nike Lebron 19s continues to explore the basketball specific Air Max, a feature that King James has used since the Lebron 7s. The 19s contain a dual-chambered Air Max unit combined with a Zoom forefoot unit for a brand new expression of Air.
There are two colour ways for the 19s. The 'TuneSquad' edition, inspired by the new TuneSquads jersey colour way and the 'Sweatsuit' edition which features maps of both the Nike World Headquarters and The Warner Brothers' Lot.
The 19s will be released as a part of the full Space Jam collection, which includes the Tune Squad and the GoonSquad full kit as well as a Tune Squad bomber jacket and three new colour ways of the Nike Lebron 18s which were inspired by classic Looney Tunes rivalries.
The retail price is set for $200 for the Nike Lebron 19s and they will be released as well as the rest of the Space Jam collection in July 2021.
Space Jam: A New Legacy will be out in cinemas on July 16th.
