Anthony Edwards Posts A Career Night Against Memphis
Anthony Edwards has been on a tear during his rookie year. The 19 year old has had his fair share of highlights, posters and incredible games and last night, he added another historic night to his NBA career.
The Ant Man finished the game against the grizzles last night with 42 points, 7 assists and 6 rebounds and with that stat line, he broke a number of records. He had 8 3 pointers taking his total up to 150 career threes, the youngest player in NBA history to reach that figure. He also had his second 40+ point game; only Lebron James has more. To top all that off, he joins Kevin Durant and LBJ as the only teenagers in NBA history to have a 40-5-5 game.
Edwards continues to make a very strong case for the rookie of the year. Many believe it is a close race between him and Lamelo Ball, who has also had a superb rookie year despite his injury, but if Edwards continues to play on this kind of level, it'll be really hard to not award him with the ROY award this year.
