The London Lions Announce A New Partnership With Greenhouse Sports

The London Lions have announced a brand new partnership with Greenhouse Sports, who are one of the leading charities that uses sport as a vehicle to help young people develop and recognise their potential.

Up to 3000 children will be provided with pathways to professional careers within basketball that include opportunities as a player, coach or even as an official. As well as that, the partnership will see a range of schools across the country using basketball as a vehicle to foster better health and activity levels for those taking part.

"We are thrilled to collaborate with the London Lions and bring the initiatives of this partnership to life," said Chris Allbut, Sports Director of Programmes at Greenhouse Sports. "This partnership epitomises the core mission of Greenhouse Sports which is to empower young individuals through sports and provide them with clear pathways for success."

The partnership comes at a historic time for the capital's biggest professional basketball club, who have seen both their men's and women's team achieve historic feats within British Basketball, the impact of which has been felt throughout the city with plenty of sold out matches at the Copper Box with some of the most exciting, high-level basketball games the country has ever seen. This partnership with Greenhouse, plus many others that have been made as of late, are proof of the impact that the game is having both on the court and off it, with exposure to a level of basketball that would have been pretty much inaccessible for many, as well as providing those within the younger generation of the local community with more opportunities.
