NCAA Sweet Sixteen 2021

NCAA Sweet Sixteen 2021

The NCAA Sweet Sixteen begins tomorrow, with the remaining 16 teams from the NCAA tournament will battle it out to move on and advance to the Elite Eight.

This years NCAA tournament has seen its fair share of upsets, especially on the Men's side. For the first time since 1979, there will be no Duke, North Carolina or Kentucky which to the knowledgeable basketball fan, doesn't even sound right. It's almost like hearing that LeBron James isn't in the NBA finals. They were all either knocked out early or didn't qualify.

We will see the number 1 seed Gonzaga as they take on the 5 seeded Creighton, as well as the 1 seeded Baylor and Michigan. The story on the men's side has been the performance of ORU, that is Oral Roberts University. The Golden Eagles. If anything, they are the Cinderalla story this year as the 15 seed in the tournament. They will take on the 3 seed in Arkansas and we're sure that'll be one of the most watched games of the sweet 16.

On the women's side, there is no team that is seeded lower than 6th. Everyone who you'd expect to be there this year is pretty much there. Many will have their eyes on all the 1 seeds in South Carolina, Uconn, Baylor and NC State as the ones to watch and potentially progress to the elite 8, final four and maybe even the championship game.

There's a lot of basketball going on this weekend and if you've been sleeping on the NCAA Tournament so far, now's the perfect time to wake up. It's not called March Madness for no reason, so you already know what to expect and you then also know, that you can't miss out. It all kicks off at 5PM GMT with Uconn taking on Iowa on the Women's side, with the Men's first game at 6:40PM GMT with Loyola taking on Oregon State. Check out our IG page for all the Sweet Sixteen matchups and more.
