British Basketball Is Back On Sky Sports For Its 2nd Straight Season

Both women's and men's British Basketball will be aired on Sky Sports again this year, after doing so last year for the first time since 2010.

British Basketball at a point has seen audiences of around 150,000 during 1995 - 2001, where the league enjoyed coverage from Sky Sports. Whilst in recent years the BBL has struggled to gain serious traction and reach anything close to the peak times of 95'-01', this new deal with one of the UK's main sports channels gives our sport a boost during a time where basketball may be at the start of its resurgence within British Culture, with 3x3 Basketball becoming an Olympic Sport just this summer and ahead of the Commonwealth Games in Birmingham 2022 where 3x3 will also be present.

Coverage this year will be featuring 15 games, which includes both the WBBL and BBL cup finals

All games will tip off at 7.30PM with live coverage starting at 7PM where guests such as former Olympian and BBL player Kieron Achara MBE and former Newcastle Eagle Drew Lasker will share their expert analysis. The first game will be on the 29th of October, as the Leicester Riders will take on the Newcastle Eagles.
