It was time for the Lions to head down to Glasgow as they took on the Rocks in tonight's British Basketball League mainstream feature on Sky Sports.
Early on the game remained fairly close, with the Rocks being able to stay within touching distance through the first quarter despite a blistering start from the Lions from 3pt range, shooting 6/10 compared to the Rocks' 1/8. Malcom Fraser's performance help to offset the 3pt struggles for the home side and keep the game close as he eventually ended the game with 19 points, a new BBL career high.
The game remained close throughout the second quarter despite the performance of Lorenzo Cugini who came off the bench shooting 4/5 from 3pt land to add to the Lions' accurate shooting, ending the half shooting 13/21 (61%) from that region.
The second half is where the separation occurred. The Lions stuck to the 3pt line and just kept on firing with an incredible level of accuracy whilst the Rocks struggled to find the mark.
21 point performances from Dirk Williams and Isaiah Reese as well as a record-breaking 23 3PT field goals from the Lions saw them take the win in Glasgow, pushing their record to 8-4. The 23 made 3s is the most in a BBL game in the last 14 years.
