Serbia Are The Eurobasket Women's 2021 Champions
The New Queens Of Europe. Serbia took home the Eurobasket Women's Title for the second time in the country's history after defeating France in the final game in Valencia, 63-54. On the way to their 2nd ever title, Serbia also had to deal with basketball powerhouses Italy and Spain and were able to do so on their way to victory.
Serbia's Sonja Vasic was the MVP of the tournament. Vasic is a women's basketball legend on the European stage, with 3 Euroleague Titles to her name as well as 2 FIBA Europe SuperCup Titles, 3 Czech League titles and 2 French titles in the Cup and the league in the 2007-2008 season.
With her tournament averages of 15.5 PPG, 7.2 RPG and 4.2 APG she was also named onto the all tournament team along with Bosnia & Herzegovina's Jonquel Jones, France's Endy Miyem, and Belgium's two stars Julie Allemand and Emma Meesseman.
